KIPP Infinity Middle School strives to create a holistic and joyful educational experience through rigorous academics, meaningful character development, eye-opening extracurricular and outside opportunities, and deep, authentic relationships with every single little KIPPster in the building. We love our KIPPsters and convey that love and commitment through our daily work in preparing lessons, developing field trips, working with families, and seeking to ignite the unique passion and personality in each of our students.
We are a Team & Family in everything we do. We start each morning together in “Morning Announcements,” our daily community meeting where all staff and students gather to say our school affirmation, celebrate KIPPster success, share school news, discuss current events in our community and the world, and shout out special moments where KIPPsters demonstrate strong character. This collaboration and spirit permeates our grade-level teams and content departments as teachers across grade levels and subjects actively share with their peers and instructional coaches to maximize student and professional growth. And for families, our classroom doors are always open, and our cell phones are always on.
All students learn to read music beginning in 5th grade and our 7th and 8th grade KIPP Infinity bands perform regularly at events around New York City. In addition, we offer students dance, journalism, and chorus, along with athletics such as flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and other sports. Students regularly showcase their performing talents in school-wide productions like the Latino Cultural Show, the Black History Month Show, and the chorus end-of-year Find Your Voice Concert.
