George Ramirez was the very first KIPP NYC student to go to Yale, but he wasn’t alone. Just like all of our alumni, George had KIPP Though College advisors to help him navigate college admissions, manage a rigorous college course load, and support him towards his historic graduation.

KIPP NYC students outperformed students across New York City and New York State on the 5 required Regents exams.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTS

KIPP NYC students outperformed students across the country on 11 out of 12 Advanced Placement exams in 2015–16.

ADVANCED REGENTS DEGREE

KIPP NYC students obtain Advanced Regents degrees at more than 2X the rate of students across the city.

When KIPPsters like Jayden, Chastity, Aminata, and Bianca at KIPP Academy combine curiosity with collaboration, it supercharges their problem-solving abilities. That’s why we design curriculum to include group work, peer tutoring, and project- based learning to build essential career and teambuilding skills.

2016 STATE TESTS

KIPP NYC students in grades 3-8 saw a 20 point increase in their English Language Arts scores and a 7 point gain in math. Their English Language Arts growth was 2.5x that of gains made by other students in the city and their math growth was 7X of their city peers.
